Erie County Library Obituary Index
The Erie Library maintains an obituary index for all Erie papers from 1822 to present. You can "Search Obituary Listings" online by name. For example, you can search broadly by last name to identify all people with that surname. Or, you can try a more narrow search with the full name of an individual. If listed, the results will show the date the obituary was published, not the death date.
